Gleanwild is a small storyworld studio. We keep this simple because we collect very little.
What we collect on this site
gleanwild.com has no accounts and it sets no tracking cookies of our own. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical logs, such as IP address and browser type, to serve and secure the site, as nearly every website host does.
The letterbox
If you write to the ledger, the contact form sends us your message, your email address, and the name you choose to give, so that a human can answer you. The letter is delivered to our own inbox by our email service provider (Resend), it is used only to reply to you, and it does not add you to any list. The form is protected from abuse by Cloudflare Turnstile.
Email list
Our mailing list (the site calls it the Margin) collects one thing: the email address you choose to give us. We use it only to send Gleanwild news: new ledger entries, print releases, and shop updates. You can unsubscribe at any time: reply to any mailing, or write to the ledger, and we will remove you promptly. The list is processed by our email service provider (Resend) on our behalf, and the signup form is protected from abuse by Cloudflare Turnstile. We never sell or rent your address.
Purchases
Our shop and payments are handled by Square. When you buy something, Square processes your payment details, and we receive the information needed to fulfill your order: your name, shipping address, email, and what you ordered. Card numbers never reach us. Square's own privacy policy governs its processing.
Social platforms
Gleanwild posts on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Threads, X, and Pinterest. Our publishing tools post our own content to our own accounts and read statistics about our own posts. They do not collect personal information about other users of those platforms. Anything you do on those platforms is governed by their policies, not this one.
Sharing
We share information only with the service providers named above, and only so they can do their jobs for us. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use third-party advertising trackers.
Children
Our art is family-friendly, but the site and shop are operated for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, write to the ledger and we will delete it.
Your choices and contact
You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the ledger and a human will answer.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
